The Viewpoint Dual Recovery Center in Prescott Arizona is a transitional living facility for people who are in recovery from alcohol or drug addiction. Sober Living is a pretty good description of this center since they are dedicated to helping people overcome the stresses and strains placed on them when recovering from substance abuse. Many times during the halfway house process a client will be asked to go through a certain number of days of “sobbing” so that they can fully and completely remove themselves from their addiction, and this is where Viewpoint Dual Recovery Center excels.
What makes Viewpoint Dual Recovery Center so great is their so-called “transitional living facility”. When you enter their facility, what you will see is a comfortable, clean, well-run residence that will help you transition into your recovery from alcoholism or drugs. What makes Viewpoint Dual Recovery Center so great is the staff at the center, which is made up of highly educated and trained professionals who know how to treat patients both safely and compassionately while providing them with the help they need. While the center does require clients to have a certain amount of personal responsibility for their own recovery, it also provides their clients with an environment to help them in their recovery by offering group meetings, classes, and activities that reinforce their recovery.
When you enroll in the program at Viewpoint, you will meet with your assigned counselor, your assigned therapist, as well as other counselors and therapists throughout your treatment. Throughout your first month at the halfway house you will go through a formal pre-boarding, where you will be put through your daily responsibilities and will be closely monitored so that you will feel comfortable both in the facility, and with your assigned counselor and therapist. You will also go through a series of assessments during which you will discuss with your counselor your personal goals and what accomplishments you have accomplished during the past several months, so that your progress can be accurately measured and you will have the necessary expectations to encourage you to reach your full recovery. Once you have completed your first month at the halfway house, you will then undergo an intense twelve-step program and be expected to successfully complete it with flying colors, all while maintaining your relationship with the center and its team of dedicated professionals.
