Information about Sober Living in Prescott Arizona

A sober living house is a special type of substance abuse treatment facility where those who suffer from addiction live safely in an environment that is as close as possible to sober living. Those who live in so-called sober homes in California agree to participate in regular drug testing, to stay committed to pursuing a drug-free lifestyle and to be tested for drug use at all times. Each resident at the Sober Living home in California undergoes a screening process, a complete assessment and a treatment plan that has been tailored to meet the needs of the individual and the program staff. Some residential programs have a 12-step program and group meetings to help the addict recover. Others simply give the addict the tools they need to get over their addiction to alcohol or drugs and become more self-sufficient. The goal of this type of alcohol treatment facility is not to turn its residents into drug-free, sober individuals but to allow them to get over the addiction to alcohol and return to normal life as fully functional members of society. The Sober Living house in Los Angeles is one of the many sober housing facilities that provide drug treatment to individuals in a residential environment. Many people who suffer from addiction choose to use the services of a residential treatment facility because it allows them to focus on getting better and less distractions, allowing them to focus on the process of healing. Many programs that offer outpatient treatment also offer some type of residential treatment, whether it is inpatient or outpatient. Some facilities even allow families to participate in the recovery process, providing them with support as the addict goes through the steps of recovery and helps them in their daily lives. In addition to being a residential treatment center for drug and alcohol addiction, many of the Sober Living programs also offer detox programs for those who may have become addicted to prescription drugs and are unable to quit cold turkey. These detoxification programs may even allow for family members to participate in the recovery process. The program staff may even be able to arrange a job with assistance in locating employment while the patient recovers. Other programs in Los Angeles also offer medical, dental and mental health care, employment support and social support to residents as they go through the recovery process.
