The Serenity Recovery program provides an intensive outpatient treatment plan for individuals who are suffering from addiction to alcohol or other controlled substances. The treatment is focused on the client’s mental health, physical health and spiritual health so that they can learn to develop a stronger sense of self through change and growth. The clients are assessed by a team of licensed counselors and therapists who work together to provide individualized counseling and therapy. The goal is to educate, support and motivate them to make positive choices throughout their recovery from addiction.
The Serenity Recovery program was created by Amy Waterman, Ph.D. Dr. Waterman has been an addiction specialist and psychologist for 23 years and is the author of the book “Working With People: A Guide to Therapeutic & Counseling”. Her years of experience as a clinical therapist and counselor have helped her to create the Serenity Recovery program which is very similar to her private practice. She believes that people need a program that is flexible and will meet the needs of the client. The residential treatment is located in sunny Cape Coral, Florida and provides all the amenities that a client would find at home including full size beds, cabinets and mirrors. The residential treatment also has a kitchen and dining area and the program provides education and training in meditation, anger management, nutrition and wilderness treatment. The program helps the client to develop a lifestyle that is focused around healthy relationships, spirituality, physical health and self-empowerment.
The Serenity Recovery program is one of many in the state of Florida that provides services for those who are suffering from addiction. If you are interested in receiving treatment for alcoholism or any other addiction, then you will want to look into a transitional living facility. Many individuals who attend transitional living facilities do so because they are ready to move on from the alcohol or drug addiction that they have been fighting. There are many reasons that an individual might look to find a place to live while undergoing treatment for an addiction. If you are ready to try living sober, then contact the Serenity Recovery Living Center.
