Decision Point is an alcohol and drug treatment center in Springdale, Arkansas that has been ranked among the top centers for excellence in alcohol and drug abuse treatment in the country. The drug addiction center was founded in 1974 and it was known then as The Billy Graham Center. It was later changed into the more popular name of Decision Point because it was found that addicts coming there for treatment were able to recover more quickly.
Decision Point is a faith-based treatment center that provides a variety of different alcohol and drug treatment programs and adolescent services for teens and adults who are suffering from alcoholism and other addictions. The center provides twenty-four hours support and counseling services for individuals who are in need of a sober life and is especially focused on adolescent services. The staffs are very qualified and trained to offer effective treatment for the adults and teenagers in the program. The aim of the center is to help individuals make positive choices and improve their lives so they can lead a life free from alcohol or drug addiction.
The center offers various types of treatment programs, which will include residential treatment, outpatient treatment, inpatient treatment and after care programs. The residential treatment is for the long term treatment and rehabilitation of the addict. During the residential phase, the addict will go through detoxification, personal therapy, group therapy, individual therapy, support groups and education. Treatment can be from one to three months and may require the use of medications to stabilize the addict during periods when the person might not be able to use drugs or if the person is abusing them. The after care phase involves relapse prevention, skill training, group activities, social activities and peer education.
