The eastern portion of the beach is located in a part of the state known as Sonoma and is comprised of about 400 acres of beachfront and seven miles of white sand. The beaches are lined with exotic species of sea turtles, and there are enough other wildlife to keep you busy for days. There are also camping areas, beach-themed restaurants and bars, volleyball courts and more, making it a very fun experience for the whole family.
If you are interested in seeing more of the coastline, but not interested in staying in Seacliff, the beach is a two hour drive away, through the Santa Barbara area. You can drive along the coastal highway, take a ferry or walk on the beach, and pick up some great views of the Santa Monica Mountains and the ocean.
Even in the colder months of Los Angeles, visitors can enjoy walking along the beaches, enjoying surfing and spending time swimming in the ocean. This is a favorite activity for those who love the surf and waves, as it is an excellent way to take in the scenic views of the Pacific Ocean.
