Information about Sober Living in Manassas Virginia
How to find Sober Living in Manassas Virginia is a question I get asked quite often from people who are just starting out in the Veterans Affairs Department (VA) system looking for temporary living accommodations. The short answer is, “it depends.” There are literally dozens of different types of VA housing that one can find living in Manassas, all with their own unique qualities. For instance, one type of military housing may offer better security, or a cleaner atmosphere, than another. Some will cost less and some more, while some have additional perks like gyms and day care attached to them.
But the bottom line is that there are ways to find that perfect place to call home while you’re transitioning into a new life as a Veteran. My personal favorite is Transitional Living facility, which means that the client is typically assigned to an individual to live with while they’re in the program. The client is responsible for their own apartment and is provided with a stable and clean living space, but in exchange, the client gets a base allowance plus a certain percentage of their rent. This is great for someone who doesn’t want to be self-sufficient while in their transition period, but would rather have someone helping them with the bills and errands while they are living on their own.
I have been in the military for many years now, and I have seen the transition time from my father to my step-sister, from my husband to wife to parent and now to a Veteran. I have witnessed the strength and maturity exhibited by each one of them during this transition. It is my sincere belief that each one of them would do well if they could find a Transitional Living facility to call home while they are here. They would be happier, healthier and more secure. Best of all, they wouldn’t be stuck in a house or apartment with no real personality of their own—just one other person who thinks and acts like them.
