Information about Sober Living in Durham North Carolina
The place that I live and work as the director of a halfway house is in Durham, North Carolina. My job involves helping people find homes and apartments that they can afford. I work with clients to get them out of shelters and into safe, clean environments where they can start over and get their lives back on track. This is my dream job because it allows me to help people find their life’s purpose and meaning.
One of my favorite places to visit while in Durham is the Transitional Living Center. It houses mostly seniors and individuals who are just getting out of prison or jail. When you enter the center, you will immediately notice the atmosphere is very somber. This is because the majority of the residents are former prisoners and are here to get back on their feet.
Transitional Living offers classes, activities, healthcare, tutoring, relationship and budget counseling, and so much more for its residents. You can learn about the resources available to you and find out how to budget your money, all while enjoying some delicious meals. If you are feeling stuck or un-confident about living on your own and need a safe place to call home, this is definitely for you!
