Danny D’s Sober Living in Hallandale Men’s House has been providing transitional living homes for men in the Tampa area for the past thirty years. They are committed to providing an environment that will transition men from being homeless to independent living to a meaningful and productive way of life. This includes helping the man come through crisis life circumstances, such as losing a job or becoming ill, and then leading a sober lifestyle with renewed confidence. Men’s House provides their clients with a complete range of services including: full-time or part-time employment support, short-term and long-term care transition planning assistance, personal crisis help, legal assistance, financial aid, and transportation needs.
The transitional living programs at Danny D’s Sober Living are specifically tailored to meet the needs of men. When you walk into the facility you will first notice bright and vibrant colors splashed throughout the building. You will then enter a clean, dry room with TV viewing and Internet access in a transition zone between the streets and the sanctuary of the Sober Living residence. Once you have settled in your room, you will be able to watch TV, exercise in the fitness center or go for a walk in the garden. As you move from one room to another throughout the transition you will be provided with the services you need such as showers and restrooms, telephone numbers, and a list of the services, phone numbers, and walk-in access to the transition area. Danny D’s Sober Living provides men with the support they need to make it through tough times and find a healthy lifestyle.
The transition zones at Danny D’s Sober Living houses are staffed by trained workers who are skilled at providing the individual with the assistance he or she needs. You can count on the friendly services of the staff to assist you when you are feeling down or just need some encouragement to keep going. You can learn how to live an active and healthy lifestyle while you are attending to the daily needs of your family. There are also support groups you can join that are specifically designed to help you deal with problems such as depression and anxiety, which often accompany retirement, and help you maintain a successful way of life after leaving home.
