Transitional Living & Community Sober Living in Sacramento California, a program that provides housing for those “needy” folks looking for it and is a relatively new initiative. This transitional living & community sober living home is for those who have just had a serious alcohol or drug problem and want to clean up their past before they get into any serious “rehabilitation” programs. This transitional living facility is housed in a converted bank and has over 200 beds, of which the majority are detox beds for alcoholics. The goal is to help the transition to sobriety last as long as possible for the client.
When you decide to go into transitional living in Sacramento, you will find yourself among people just like you: people struggling with drugs and alcohol and looking for a way to clean up and start a new life where there is little danger of relapse. What is nice about this transitional living home is that you’ll be amongst people who have similar values as you do and who share your goal of sobriety. You can often learn from others who are struggling through similar problems. And since this is a supported, not-for-profit organization, you won’t need any financial aid to finish the program.
So, what does a transition mean? It means going from a life of addiction to one of sobriety and starting over. You will meet other people like you who are also looking for a better way and a new path in their lives. With support from the professionals at transitional living, you will learn how to stay clean and sober, attend counseling, participate in a 12 step program, and live in a halfway house until you find a permanent sober facility. Many people complete the program successfully, and then go on to find sobriety and stability in a number of areas. You too could become a success story.
