The main attraction at the Holland Lighthouse Sober Living is its ability to help you live in a recovery-based housing community while giving you the opportunity to make a transition from using drugs and alcohol to becoming clean and sober. With twelve different treatments and intervention programs including an after-care program, this Sober Living home can give you the help and support you need to stay clean and sober. You will also be trained to prepare yourself for long-term recovery by participating in group counseling, one on one therapy, and other life skills development activities. The home’s twelve Sober Living Homes have all been reviewed and approved as meeting the required conditions to qualify for the program so you can get started on the road to recovery. Through the Sober Living Homes, you will be paired with an assigned residential treatment specialist who will work with you one-on-one to determine the best plan of action to meet your needs and begin to change your life. Residential staff members will provide a daily personal care package and provide assistance with activities to help you live as a Sober Living Home patient.
Members of the public are welcome to attend the house’s transitional center where they can take part in free or inexpensive group counseling or individual counseling. In addition to regular house meetings, members are encouraged to attend other Sober Living House events as well, such as Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and other organization events. A significant amount of Sober Living Homes have pastoral counselors available to provide support and counseling to families and individuals struggling with alcohol or drug addiction. Other important activities include free or inexpensive group legal advice, social service referrals, legal aid, and assistance with finding employment and navigating various housing options.
