Elijah’s House is a transition care center that offers residential treatment, residential services and transition supplements. The main purpose of the center is to help people suffering from addiction recover and live productive lives. The center provides housing alternatives including so called “sober houses” or transitional living facilities. Sober housing provides a temporary living space for people who are not ready to enter into full-time recovery programs. Many so called “sober houses” are actually halfway houses used by desperate addicts to find the strength to enter their recovery programs.
Elijah’s House is one of many transitional care centers that focus on holistic treatments to help addicts overcome addiction. The center provides both inpatient and outpatient treatment for those suffering from addiction. The inpatient services provide both drug treatment and therapy to help people struggling with substance abuse problems. Most treatment centers focus on one or two areas of treatment such as detoxification, education, employment, and relapse prevention. Elijah’s House Treatment Center also offers a transition home where families can go to be treated for their addiction.
The transition homes provide the addicted person with their own space to live during the time they are transitioning out of the center. This is critical because often times a person may be spending more time at their addiction than at their transitional house. The transition homes also provide the addicted person with their own support structure and often times family and friends are very supportive during this time. Families that spend time at the Elijah’s House transition homes are typically much happier and healthier when compared to families who do not.
