A transition or halfway house is a short term residence for people suffering from drug and alcohol addictions. The transitional living program provides customized living solutions, drug rehab programs, residential treatment, halfway houses, and residential supports. They can be called by many names: recovery homes, halfway houses, live-in rehabilitation centers, residential treatment centers, short-term living homes, and residential treatment centers. The goal of the transitional living homes is to provide the patient with an environment that encourages him or her to permanently quit drugs and alcohol, return to work and school, and become sober.
“transitioned” is how they like to say it. People get into the halfway house, detox themselves, go through detoxification, and then they are treated for addiction. “Sober Living in Huntington Beach California” is how they describe their transition or “sober house”. The house will be furnished with: a fully equipped kitchen/breakfast nook for a healthier eating experience; a large shower/toilets area; a sofa bed and a queen size bed. The house will also have a fully equipped fitness room, steam room, sauna, steam bath, and library for books, music, or a personal study.
