Cielo Sober Living & Spiritual Retreat is a beautiful house in Cathedral City, California. It was designed by architect Michael Maltzan, who also did the design for the nearby St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church. This beautiful residence combines the beauty of a classical abode with the energy and harmony of a spiritual community. The building itself has a unique combination of a two-story hexagonal tower with two levels on its first floor and a six-story “town square” on its top twenty floors. The interior walls are primarily of wood, with the exception of two wooden partitions that are painted white to help create a more traditional feel.
The transition between the two different styles is quite noticeable, with the large tower acting as a transition from the traditional to the new transitional dwelling. In addition to the large tower, you will find many different elements that combine into a beautiful new structure, including large windows in the main part of the building, and a large central atrium that is surrounded by a beautiful outdoor courtyard. The courtyard itself also has several different areas with seating and dining areas. And, at the very bottom level of the building is a “transitional living area,” which is meant to help those who are just entering their lives into spiritual discovery. It also helps families to transition from their childhoods into their adulthoods.
When you visit Cielo Sober Living & Spiritual Retreat, you will notice how much energy and vitality still exist in the small intimate quarters of the halfway house. As people begin to move into the transition phase, they can see that it does not have to be a lifetime of loneliness and discomfort. Many people have found it to be a great place to start their spiritual journeys and live a more balanced life. This small retreat is an ideal way for families to live and work side by side, in harmony with each other. After you have experienced the peaceful atmosphere of the halfway house and the tranquility and serenity of this beautiful retreat, you may find that Cielo Sober Living & Spiritual Retreat is what is right for you.
