The Living Center is a transitional living facility that houses men and women from halfway houses who are living on their own. They have professional and member counselors available to help you through your transition. The staff strives to offer the very best in customer service, including but not limited to: one on one counseling, group meetings, telephone hot lines for group therapy, a food pantry, a game room, a computer lab, a reading area, an exercise area, an internet access area, a cleaning area, a phone line, and a clean, dry bathroom. The services are offered twenty-four hours a day seven days a week.
The Living Center was named after the original owner who started the transition services forty years ago. She wanted something affordable for people in transitional times and decided to start a home for them. The center has been providing their services ever since and still continues to this very day to help out those in need. The mission statement of The Living Center states: “To empower individuals with the tools, information and support needed to attain permanent living with a sober mindset. We view living as a journey of self discovery.”
