The Judian Society of Prescott Arizona provides a place for men and women that are in need of some help in their transition to becoming sober. This transition plan includes both the short term and the long term goal of helping the client get his or her life back on track and stop drinking. There are several transition services that are offered to those who need them such as: halfway houses, sober living homes, and detoxification centers. There is also a spiritual center that offers counseling as well as other services for the client who is in the process of becoming sober.
The halfway house provides an interim residence while the client is receiving treatment at the sober living home. halfway houses are located around the community and have different floors that are designated for the various stages of treatment. The transition services offered at the sober living homes are very intensive and include a nutrition specialist, a psychiatrist, a therapist, a social worker, a minister, a teacher, and even a nurse. The transition services will provide help with the problem of housing while the client is attending the alcohol treatment programs as well as help preparing meals. The main focus of these programs is to keep the client comfortable and out of the drink.
The transition services include both the transitional residence and the halfway house and the transition services are offered on an inpatient basis. When the client is in the halfway house, they may live there for up to three days with an attending counselor and they can be observed by the doctor while in the residence. Once the prescribed alcohol program is completed, they will move back into their transitional residence for a further two to three days. The client’s supervision will be maintained during the entire time in the transitional residence.
