Information about Sober Living in Prescott Valley Arizona

Sober Living Houses provide an immediate, comfortable transition for those who have finished an addiction treatment program in a drug rehabilitation facility. These onsite residences offer a secure and comfortable environment for recovering addicts to reduce the chances of relapse. In addition, these so-called “Sober Living Homes” can offer a significant positive impact on individuals who are suffering from alcohol or drug abuse. This is because a Sober Living House gives the addict immediate access to one-on-one therapy sessions and access to other benefits such as health services and job opportunities. The first thing you should think about when considering a Sober Living House is what benefits will you get from a residence? First, the resident is given immediate access to therapeutic services and one-on-one counseling. As with any addiction treatment program, addicts will usually have to undergo an initial detoxification period. During this time, the addict will undergo detoxification treatments. During this time, the addict will also experience various physical and mental withdrawal symptoms and may also experience periods of depression. This may cause the individual to relapse into their addiction and this is why the resident receives treatment from a licensed professional. Another benefit is that after completing a substance abuse treatment, the addict will be provided with assistance in their daily life. The Sober Living House may offer services such as day care, employment support, housing assistance, and even health services such as health screenings, medication management, medical treatment, and social work. These all come at no cost to the individual. When the addict completes an addiction treatment, he or she will be required to attend regular therapy sessions and be under the care of an Addiction Recovery Specialist for as long as it takes to complete the program. In addition, during these therapy sessions, the addict will learn new skills such as how to cope with stress and develop healthier ways of dealing with problems. The residential facility will also provide ongoing support so that the individual does not feel alone and that there are people around who care about him or her.
