Sober House is a transition residence, based in Flagstaff, Arizona that caters to individuals newly discharged from an alcohol rehabilitation program. A central office is a small building with one or two bedrooms that has full-service receptionist, laundry, doctor on call, and other amenities for seniors who need assistance. There are usually no security fees in transitional living homes, which are designed to be low-cost alternatives to hotels or retirement homes. The transitional living homes can be converted into apartments or serviced apartments when residents find they wish to downsize to a more manageable size of home in Flagstaff.
A transitional office is ideal for individuals transitioning out of the services of an inpatient facility, or who have been granted an extended stay of rehabilitation due to a medical condition requiring long-term care. Many times, families or individuals move into an office when their loved one or friend has been assigned to a long-term care facility or nursing home. Because of their lower cost, the transition housing fee is considerably less than those of hotels, resorts and other similar accommodations. When an individual’s family lives in the house, there is a set schedule for visiting hours and days of the week.
As an added benefit, the Sober House has a doctor on call in case the resident ever needs medical care. A transition center offers a variety of transition services, including but not limited to: housekeeping, meals planning, housekeeping assistance, and transportation assistance. The transitional housing also features a 24 hour on-site emergency call center. Other services include laundry and dry cleaning, as well as housekeeping support. Some facilities may even offer financial and emotional support to families during the transition period.
