“Sober Living in Mobile Alabama” is a residential treatment center for alcohol and drug abuse in the state of Alabama. The primary mission of “Sober Living” is to offer residential treatment for people suffering from substance abuse problems who do not have the means to seek treatment in a community-based addiction treatment facility. This is a community-based, not a hospital-based, service and the patients are referred to as “patients” rather than “counselors”. Treatment at “Sober Living” includes detoxification followed by inpatient maintenance at the transitional residence. The purpose of this article is to provide an overview of our treatment approach.
Our Approach Saves Money! In clinical terms, our approach saves money for both patient and staff. Alcohol and drug abuse is a costly proposition. Not only does it require facilities, staff and medications, but the treatment can be costly as well. Many of our patients live on a tight budget and are unable to pay for long-term residential treatment. When we use our “Intermatic Care” model, our therapists create a safe living situation for our clients while providing short term, intensive substance abuse treatment.
Our Teenagers and Adults Program incorporate a variety of supports. These include individual and group counseling, referral to local substance abuse specialists, detoxification, educational classes and aftercare support. We aim to help our clients overcome their addiction and improve their overall life. Our primary concern is your safety. If you or someone you love is struggling with addiction, call our 24-hour helpline for immediate care and emergency services.
